Limeapple Launches "Because I Can" - The Bubble Initiative

By Robyn Welsh

Limeapple believes that every girl should have the opportunity to thrive. In order to ensure that girls have the tools and opportunities to flourish and feel empowered, Limeapple will be launching their Because I Can initiative on March 1st, 2017. Starting this day, Limeapple will be donating 10% of the proceeds from every bubble hoodie sold to three causes that will allow girls to be the best they can be. The organizations chosen to support are Plan International Canada and Kids Cancer Care Foundation. Buyers will have the opportunity to decide which of these causes they would like to support upon checking out.

Limeapple believes that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and be the best she can be. Over 60 million girls are out of school around the world. With this in mind, Limeapple is on a mission to educate 1 million girls by 2027. To reach this goal, Limeapple is supporting Plan International. Their Because I am a Girl campaign aims to educate and lift girls so they can provide for their families to make a better life for themselves and their communities. When girls are educated, healthy, safe from violence, and empowered, they benefit themselves, their families and their communities. Investing in girls’ education will provide girls with opportunities that they wouldn’t otherwise have and helps create societies with strong, independent, and powerful women.

Giving children a second chance at life is an amazing thing. By adding Kids Cancer Care Foundation to the list of causes, Limeapple will help raise funds in support of the fight against childhood cancers. This foundation helps to raise money for childhood cancer treatments and cures. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), cancers are the leading cause of deaths by disease in children from 1-19. Cancer research funding can help lower the number of annual deaths, saving countless children’s’ lives. Kids Cancer Care Foundation aims to change, “the course of childhood cancer one day, one child, one family at a time,” and can do so with your help.

Starting March 1st, you can track the donation progress here to see how much Limeapple customers have helped raise for each cause.
